Beige colored Rim Protectors (correction!!)
« on: October 08, 2008, 09:35:56 PM »

I purchased two sets of Motion Pro Rim Protectors about a year ago and just had occasion to use them today.  These are some real pieces of sh*t!  The first attempt at using one resulted in the "protector" being cut between the spoon and rim when pressure was applied.  (changing rear tire on 1800).

Were these made of hard nylon or a better material than they are, they may be of some value.  As these are, they are not worth having.  You would be better off with some pieces of tire scrap or equivalent.  DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID!!  >:(

Edit:  These rim protectors are beige in color and may have come from Pit Posse.   I thought I had ordered the Motion Pro, but, since posting I have noticed that they are blue and the ones from Pit Posse are the color of mine.   Sorry for any confusion, but, the ones I am having the problem with are beige and waaay too soft for the job.
