trikes
« on: July 09, 2006, 10:07:41 PM »

OK, here's a serious question.  Do any of you have any knowledge of trikes?  This is a line of thought that has arisen as of late.  I am considering transforming my 1300 R for safety's sake.  I am losing leg mass and muscle due to the cancer treatments it seems.  The steroids are wreaking havoc as well.  I fear dropping it with Liz on in a parking lot or stop light/sign,etc. I have no problems riding solo, but the balance issue comes into play two up.  Any thoughts would be appreciated greatly........

MotorTrike out of Troup,Tx makes a nice looking kit. I almost bought a Goldwing Spyder from them last summer.

I have a girlfriend that had her Goldwing converted to a Trike.........She loves it. When the time comes that I can not hold up my bike I will go that route too....... O0 O0

Nothing wrong with a trike.. They are Fun. Remember in the 60's how we had Dune Buggies...... ;D ;D

Here's one I found for an 1800. You might call them. It shouldn't be that different to do a 1300.

This is the kit for the Voyager. In case you didn't know, You retain the rear wheel, it just bolts on. There was one at the BBT III.

"When the time comes that I can not hold up my bike "

Let's see, I've dropped my bike how many times? Yep, I should have started with the trike.  :(
