Hurricane Ride
« on: August 29, 2008, 04:14:21 AM »

I may be in for another hurricane ride. To go help clean up the mess, again. Hope the damage is like the last tropical storm that only spilled one beer.
I have my doubts this time. At least the kin folk know better than to try to ride this one out this time. They are all heading for higher ground.

Yeah, I have a house in Bridge City that got damaged some when Rita came through. I almost wish it would get leveled. I'd just collect the insurance and scrape off the lot adn donate it to the fire department. Good luck down there folks and don't forget to duck.

Well, with it being the opening weekend for the Longhorns, you knew a regularly scheduled trip to the 40 Acres was being planned for this weekend and all home games plus the ou game.  With lessons learned from the near serial-killer personna due to the 26 hours in a truck with the wife, 4 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 ferrets fresh in the mind.......we are in Austin for an extended weekend/hurricane viewing party.  To all the rest of the Triangle riders, stay away from I-10 at the San Jacinto River bridge between Baytown & Houston.  Took us over an hour to go from Thompson Rd. to the other side of the river.
