I'm wanting to take the girls camping for Labor Day weekend, and I'd like to find a nice spot near New Braunfels.  Anyone have a good recommendation for camping spots with or without small cabins?  I remember riding out in the Hill Country during a couple of BBTs and passing by some small cabins right on a river.  Can't remember what river, though!  Anyway, something like that would be cool!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  We need some R&R soon!!!  :)

There are quite a few camp sites on the river road of the Guadalupe river. just to name a few:

Rockin R
Lazy L
Gilligan's island
Oak hill river inn

Try these.....

I know there is some with cabins just cant remeber all the names the names.. some even have RV hook ups if needed.

main strip of camp sites are on the river road between Sattler and HWY 46 in New Braubfels..

We just camped at the Rockin R a few weks ago. They actually have about 4 different for the Rockin R. The one we stayed at had RV slots, cabins, and tent camping. The tent camping was right on the river. I had my RV so I can't tell u about the bathroom/shower conditions, other than they have them.
