Handle bars needed
« on: July 10, 2008, 08:33:16 AM »

I have an 06 1800 neo, and am in need of a set of handlebars for it. If anyone has a set lying around, gimme a holler. oem preferable but not needed. :)
This is the last thing I need to get my bike ready to ride, well ... other than getting my ankle back into shape  ;)   readtrio@hotmail.com

I can't remember for sure...doesn't the 1800 have the speedo attached to the handlebars?  I have a set of handlebars that Marigold so generously donated to me for my 1300 and I ended up not using them.  If it works out for you, you are more than welcome to have them.

My speedo is on the tank. Do you remember which model they came from? I think a speedo on the bars is a c model. Also, do you know the measurements? Mine where a "dresser" type, bout 6" tall with about 12" pullback.

Geezzz Xwrecker you are gettin more technical then I am inclined  :D
Seriously, if I recall correctly the handlebars that Marigold and Jim gave me were off of a Shadow.  I was wanting to rise/pullback my stock 1300 bars.  I ended up going another route and kept my handlebars on the bike.  I do not know the size of the extra ones I have, I will try to measure them tonight and let you know, altho I don't think there is a way to measure pullback on them...just the width from tip to tip.  I will try to post a picture.

This is where you get the measurements.

I have tried a set of "c" bars and they are a bit too short on the pullback, and not quite wide enough.

Thanks tho.... 8)

That's why they were replaced with retro bars with 6 inch risers.  O0
