D@mn parts are taking forever it seems
« on: August 17, 2008, 02:22:01 AM »

Wow  ??? It seems like I'm just getting started putting her back together again?
Everyone I've ordered from has something on back order, or needing shipped from the manufacturer.
I have orders waiting to be delivered from:
Honda Direct Line
Honda OEM parts
XChoppers
Mean Cycles
So Cal Seats
& Ebay

My wheels are getting repaired by a guy in Sugar Land who has the motorcycle wheel lathe/chuck that no one else in Texas has!
I actually first met the guy in line at the DMV when we both had first moved here some months ago. I never imagined I'd need his services. I'll let you all know if he does good work!

My new fuel tank and scuffed front fender are with the painter. Along with the rest of my tins. In order to get a perfect Candy Orange color match over all. I'm sticking with the same color. Aaaaaaand while I'm at it, I'm having the tank flange filled so as to be gone. As well as eliminating the plastic chrome dummy light housing and adding flush mounted a pop-up gas cap.

Ah I can't wait to start assembling everything together and get to riding again!
In the mean time I'm doing a thorough cleaning of everything else.  O0

The bike was sweet before, it will really be sharp now, lol. Good luck with the shipping.
