I did a search in VTXOA using dunlop elite psi
I found 3-4 post stating that people run between 38-41 PSI in both the front and back
not sure this helps or not

I have a Metz front and currently run 40 psi
I run 42 on my back CT

They stamp the max air pressure.  Max is not always best.

I really like by IIIs.

280 with a pack - 40/40 may be right balance of comfort to servicablility.  I ride 38/41, weigh 180.

How many miles on it? I'd check the wheel bearings first, along with the axle bolts.

Probably not, but it's been my experience that the tires last longer when they are kept at a higher psi. I run 38/40. Of course I'm knocking on 300lbs. too.  ::)

Miles at 6000 and running 38 front/40 rear ,but the bike does seem to want to corner better with the Elite 3 compared to the stock Dunlop.

I have the Elite III's on my X and have had for years, I love 'em.  I have had much better service out of them than any of the others that have been on the bike.  I run right at the max. pressure stamped on the tire.  If I notice more tread wear in the center, I will drop a few pounds for a while to help even it out.  I, too, have noticed much better cornering with the higher pressure....the heavy bike gets sloppy in a big lean with low tire pressure......well, mine does.

When you say 'wobble', is the tire mishapen or is the wheel bent?  Do you 'see' the wobble or 'feel' it???  You would do well to get the front tire off of the ground and put a dial indicator on the rim edge and may as well check run out on the disc while you are there.  If the rim is straight and you still see the wobble, you have a bum tire with belts separating or ??  I sure wouldn't trust a tire, especially a FRONT tire, that is defective in any way!!!  Take extreme caution.

On some roads the front seems to want to shimmy or oscillate a little and others it is fine. :-\

Man, you have lost me now.  Let me ask this:  Can you get the same symptoms on the same road or does it vary?  If it is the same on the same road, I would say you need to find another way to work!!  ;)

The only time I have noticed a slight 'wobble' is when I traverse an uneven surface....like a little ridge coming up to an intersection that is almost parallel with the road.  When the tire 'climbs' over the ridge you may feel a slight waver in the steering.  Another instance would be when the driver of the machine that makes the rain grooves gets a little sloppy....you may find the tire wanting to follow the 'snake.'  Overall, the X is one of the most stable bikes I have ridden on the road.  Its' weight and geometry make it a fine road machine that can take any crosswind I have ever been in and never complain.

Keep an eye on the road surface when you experience the 'shimmy' next time and, if you can, go back over the same road and see if it happens again.  You may just be experiencing some irregularities in the road surface and not have anything wrong with the bike.  Get some specifics on when, where and under what conditions this is happening.

Must be the road because it only does it at the same spots.I don't remember it doing the same thing with the stock tires though.Maybe I should not have read those reviews on the E3 tire, probably didn't notice anything until I read about front end wobble. ::)
