I know of at least 2 that have gotten a 200 on the rear of the 1300 stock rim and fender.

Thanks...i wasn't sure how much wider a 200 is, I know theres like a 3/4" gap on one side and about 1" the other... O0

So i know you have been a dark side member for atleast a year now.
it's rapidly nearing time for me to get a new back tire. I need to know should i go for it? Now remember i live in what they call hill country. I know they turn ok with it but should I do it. I have ridden the roads in your neck of the woods, Never a sharp turn.  O0

Everywhere I have been, it has been fine, and I have kicked it down to San Saba, and Brownwood on the darkside...  I am riding it to the Coloradical though, and that's got me a tiny bit paranoid, but we'll see how she does...  I say go for it, heck if nothing else you can go back to the MC and have the darkside for when you wanna go racing...  Ride mine at BBT and see what you think...

You can get many differant tires to work but 1300 has 170 for a 4" wheel a 180 calls for 4.25" wheel mgf. safety guide lines do you ride are is it for looks they don't mix well with tires.  I hope this help you Swampfox     Safty first for riders

Here's my setup...Metzeler ME 880 Marathon XXL 200/70HB-15 Rear on a 1300c stock rim and fender. Haven't had any issues thus far  :)

All that I've read on the National board convinces me not to spend that kind of money for the 200/70-15 tire.  It pinches the sidewall in so much that it looks no bigger than my Avon.  BTW, the Avon 170/80-15 is actually 176mm wide, so it is a tad bigger than the Dunlop.

Even on my 1800  the side tire was pinched and looked nowhere near as big as my brothers warrior that came with a 200.  So, on a smaller rim, I figure, what's the point.  I did notice, when I went from a 180to a 200 turns were a little more sloppy.  Just my .02.
