Rockwall Honda?
« on: July 04, 2006, 11:35:01 PM »

Haven't checked in for a while...and I see there is a new board! Hackers suck.

Anyone here have any experience with Rockwall Honda? The service department in particular?

Thanks in advance.

I've heard some good stuff on their service dept. I've only dealt with them twice but both times they did a good job.

My most recent visit for service was bad.  They had my bike for two days to let it cool and do the valves, and they forgot about it. I showed up to pick it up and they hadn't touched it.  I probably should have been cool and given them a couple more days, but I took it on over to Al Lamb and got it done.

Thanks. I used to have my service work done at DFW Honda in Grapevine, but we moved to Kaufman and that isn't real convenient now.

Not sure about fuzzy's experience, but I showed up on a Wednesday to get an inspection sticker and have them look at my leaking left fork.  They originally told be it would be 2 days before they could get to me even if they had the parts.  When I told them I was supposed to leave the next morning at 7 headed to Fredericksburg I was told if I could be there at 9 am when they opened they would put me at the front of the line.

I was on the road by 11:30 the  next day so I have nothing but good things to say.

Maybe Fuzzy was the one that got bumped - if so -Sorry Bro - hope it helps for me to tell you it was worth your wait. . .   :)

You know Hangman, I probably would have been a lot more foregiving if they had just told me I was bumped so someone else could get theirs done for an emergency. All I was told was they forgot me.
I promise I will go back and give them a second chance.  We all deserve second chances, don't we?  :)

I've been in 2-3 times now and I do not like the older guy that writes up the orders he is kinda grumpy. I don't remember his name. He left though. The young kid maybe mid 20's is great. He knows what he is talking about. Real sharp kid. I went in with my old bike right about closing and grumpy didn't want to help me but the young kid said no problem got me going right away. Their parts department is great. I dont like their accessories department. It's really skimpy.

I was told by someone who works there that when grumpy left the young kid would be heading up that department. Because of that I will go back.

I had a second key made from them and they were really cool about it!! Stopped what they were doing and made a new key for me and I saw alot of bikes in the shop. I useally get parts and stuff from them even when there is a Honda shop in Greenville which is closer to me. They have been good to me so far but have never had any service done by them, Tapper ahs been the only one that has touched my bike other than me. ;D  Good luck!!

The "young guy" is the one that forgot my bike for service.  I'm sure now (looking back) that he was just overloaded and got confused since he was new to the service manager job. The more I talk about this the more I wish I had gone ahead and let them do the work even after my tirade.  Oh, Well, we all know that hindsight is 20/20.
