I didn't know that someone was more likely to have a wreck while on the phone than drunk? :o

That is hard to fully believe.  I hope it's not true.  Everybody is on the cell phone in the car all the time.

So, the moral of the story is, if your talking on a cell phone while driving drunk and fatigued, somebody is going to get hurt. Got it.
No more cell phone for me.

I nearly clobbered a guy on a cell phone yesterday when he pulled across in front of me as I was going 65mph. I hammered the brakes and hit the shoulder of the road (in my cage) and managed to go by behind him, blaring the horn the whole time, he never looked my way.....

As a part of a deposition in a cell phone accident death case, we deposed one of the authors of this and similar studies.  He let us try out the simulator to see how conditions were modelled.  It was really disturbing to hear his findings first hand, and it made me a supporter of legislation to ban cell use while driving (hands free or not).

Several cities in the metroplex area already have banned the use of cell phones without hands free devices. I believe the fine is $275.00

Which Cities have done this?  I am in and out of a bunch of them on a daily basis and am curious to know.

Most of the cell phone store have list that show you. I know Richardson and Allen, Plano did at one time. I don't know if they still do. The store on Plano Road between parker and park used to give the list away. It is behind the Chinese food restaurant.
