Anyone tried this mod......

I tried it and couldnt tell much difference. If anything the exhaust doesnt sound as good and didnt take enough pop out to justify. At least it was cheap!

The actual desmog/pair-valve removal is cheap and easy too!  You should notice more of a difference if you go all the way and desmog it.

The only reason I removed my PAIR system was to give me a little more room for valve adjustments.

Like Jim said it only gives more room for maintenance.  The only other thing I noticed it does is get rid of a "chirp" that the exhaust note made.  Other than that there's no power increase and if there is, you can't feel it.

I still remember the surprise I felt when I left the dealer and felt the power for the first time. I was in awe of the monster.
I've done just about every simple performance mod that came through the VTXOA and the TexasXriders. If I had it to do over again, The bike would stay stock. Well, except for the seat.
