Highway bars for VTX1300R
« on: April 08, 2008, 07:13:05 AM »

???  Ok Gang, trying to help my Pop out.  He has the 1300R  and wants engine guard/ highway bars. He's short so we probably need offset  foot pegs as well. So far, I have looked at Cobra and can't decide between standard and fatty. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Info on the pegs as well. Thanks

I used the standard for my son's 1300R. Then we added the Kuryakyn Dully offset pegs because they have many different peg positions.. Here are a couple of the Kuryakyn offset pegs. Warren

These are my engine guards and I love them http://www.hondadirectlineusa.com/stores/product.asp?pid=4658&str=11&ID=873886464 . I bought the 1 1/2" clamps and put stilleto pegs on them and I love it. Hope this helps.

Fattys look great on the R and S. Got mine after looking at Davids and comparing them to the standards. I have fatty beach bars too so the standard highway bars would not have looked right IMO. I'll try and find a recent pic with them on and post it.

I put the Paladin low profile engine guards on my 1300 a month ago. I do not like using the highway pegs so I did not add any.  "Food for thought"
