And not to be a pain in the a$$, the tax on the transfer is a "Motor Vehicle Tax" and not a sales tax.  Not that it matters since it is still dollars that leave us and go the the state.

Well, it doesn't affect my life in any way..  I paid my taxes on what I spent 2 years ago and I'm not selling.  But it's interesting.
