GREAT WEEKEND
« on: March 24, 2008, 11:20:29 AM »

I know we missed some great group get togethers this weekend, but hubby and I had a great weekend also.  First of all it was a 3 day weekend which is always better than a 2 day  :)  We spent alot of the weekend building a shed/cover for our sailboat...lots of work, but love working together on projects like that.  Next hubby bought a new bike...I will let him tell the details...he just signed on as a new member here...as soon as he gets all his info and pics taken care of I'm sure he will spill the beans.  Finally we had a very nice Easter Sunday with family and then the two of us along with one of the kids took off and rode to Galveston.  It was a gorgeous weekend and I'm glad to hear that Spring X was such a success...look forward to attending in the future.

If you don't love what you're doing, then don't do it.
Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do.

;D ;D We did a lot of work out at the house. I don't really like the finished product but it will hold for a while. I got a chance to look at a newer bike to replace my Kawa Vulcan. ::) Took a test drive on it but I wasn't sure it really was for me. So I did what anyone would do. I took a second ride on it and took it home.  Sunday sees Lucky chasing my new bike down 146 to Galveston and up Hwy 3 to our temporary home in Deer Park. So what new bike did I get? Well, it's a 2002 VTX 1800 that's black with yellow flames and a nice set of V&H tubes. Some of ya'll might recognize it. It has a loving new owner who is still wired that I GET TO RIDE IT!

I don't care what other people think. They don't do it very often!
Of Course it's dirty. It's hard to clean when the tires keep moving.

Man!! Everyone's going every which way. Used too, I couldn't hardly get anyone out on a long trip, now everyone's doing it. Lot's of trips planned Joey. I'm going to have to get a secretary to keep my schedule straight. I hadn't planned on the Hoot. Kenny's talking about a south/left/north coast ride. That sounds like a great time. I've got a bunch of short jaunts planned as well. Goota love that Wing!!!
