MY 1800 IS DISABLED

MY NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE CAME LOOSE BIKE DIED
TIGHTENED CABLE NOW BIKE TURNS OVER BUT WILL NOT START - FUSE BLOWN FOR TAILLAMP,ODO, NO IDIOT LIGHTS - REPLACED FUSE TURN KEY ON AND IT POPS THE FUSE - ANY IDEAS.

Sounds like a hot wire is going directly to ground somewhere. Did you check for skinned or pinched wires?

Lots of wires stuffed under the seat.
