This is so sad. A friend of mine knows I ride and sent me an email containing these pictures. Just goes to show you SPEED does KILL. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

This kid was a friend of the family of some very active posters over on the VTXOA site.  They get incredibly distressed when these get posted around, informationally.  But this has made the round a few times.  Bad decision making involved, obviously.

The post wasn't intended to offend, distress, disrespect, anyone. I just wanted fellow riders to watch their speed and surroundings at all times. Sometimes we get "comfortable" when riding and aren't as "aware" as we should be.

It's a sad situation......one of those rare times when words just aren't necessary.

While I agree speed kills, I don't agree with passing harsher motorcycle laws for the general populas.  Why should all of us have to be punished or restricted because of the bad judgements of a few.  I was hit head on by a FedEx truck in my lane 4 years ago, totaling my bike, and I'm not advocating outlawing FedEx drivers.

Yes indeed speed alone does kill if you are being stupid. I remember when that happened and we had to have like a hour class on road safety.
