Electric shifter conversion?
«
on:
November 24, 2007, 02:01:53 AM »
After having 2 botched lower back surgeries, i now have limited movement (up and down tilting) of my left foot. I am unable to get it under the shift lever and even if I somehow do, cannot lift up on it. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get back to riding? I dont know if there is an electric conversion or if i could somehow put floorboards on my 03 1800 C. Hope someone can help, tired of staring at it in the garage!
Thanks!!!

That looks it might work pretty well / Wish I'd thought of something like that.

You and me both.
And from there, I wound up looking at trikes.

What kind of bike do you have? Do you have a heel/toe shifter? I have just the thing if you do....
and....no, it's not snake oil.

I was talking about a modification to the heel to shifter that just requires you to lower your heel below the floorboards a little to shift.
