If you're getting good mileage (for the way YOU drive) you know everything's in tune and working well. If your mileage sucks you know something is out of whack....... another positive of the PCIII is that it greatly improves the overall "rideability" of the bike. gets rid of all the slow speed surging and makes the bike so much smoother throughout the rpm's.

Hello all again,

Got my PCIII in today and I'm trying to load a canned map for my bike until I can get to JC's on the 17th.  The cd software and the website aren't exactly clear but I need a canned map for my '05 with V&H Bigshots (w/baffles) and a K&N air filter.  The closest I can find on the cd is an '04 map for V&H and stock or aftermarket air filter; or, on the website an '05 map for V&H with stock air filter.  Both are curiously titled M122-007.  I called support and they said load the '04 (007) map because nothing changed between '04 and '05. 

Yes, I know...who cares 'cuz I'll be paying JC soon to do it but I want to use my PCIII now.  Am I overthinking this???

Use it. Any knowledge gained from trying the random maps can't do anything but help you understand it better, IMWOT. Worst case scenario, you would have to take it back off and wait for JC
