Forward extensions on 1800C
« on: September 10, 2007, 08:59:04 PM »

So what are the best ones to get on an 1800C.
What does it take to do since the brake line runs over the exhaust?
Since the brakes are linked what kind of bleeding do I have to do so I have brakes if I disconnect the brake line? Or do I need to?

What's best is subjective; everyone likes something different. I use LRExtremes.

I looked at those and they look the best, but I can't see myself spending $200 or so for them.
Anyone see some cheaper?

You could always just get the extensions and use the stock pegs.

I think they are about $80-$100 or so.

Here they are on Ebay.

This is probably the route I will be taking, too.

I've got the Kury extensions on mine. About $80 and moved the pegs 2" forward. You will need a longer brake line or the stock line will touch the pipes. I wish Kuryakyn would include the longer brake line with the package. But overall, I'm very satisfied. It's probably the best bang for the buck.

man if I could get a template for the LRExtremes I may try to get some cut out and mickey it up myself :D

anyone with LRExtremes be able to trace the bracket for me onto cardboard.
I really like the out and up they have and scrap metal should be cheap :D

I've think a crap mod is due for this. O0
