Last week my chest pains returned; some of you will recall in April I had a stent installed in an artery on my heart to clear a blockage.  The fix this time was not a second stent; the existing site had scar tissue growing through the stent and a complete blockage was just a matter of time.  Last Wednesday I had bypass surgery and today I came home to recuperate.  I'll be resting at home for a few weeks and then go back to work.  I think I will be cleared to drive in a few weeks but the bike will take a little longer.  Oh, I just bought a CB from Hal during his sale and was looking forward to some summer group rides.

The way things have gone this summer, you'll be ready to rock about when it stops raining!  And, as a good friend of mine says:  "Any day this side of the dirt is a good day."

Dan, glad you're ok!!  Like they said, beats the alternative all to hell!  Had a similar situation while on vacation in June, in Arizona.. blood clot..below my stint.  Should have seen the Dr's face when we asked about riding the trike home from Georgetown. ;D  Pics on the members board- pics of the trike.
Heal soon, heal good.

Louis, it's good to hear from you.  I was hit and miss on the boards in June so I got wind of something up with a clot and you but never figured it out.   I'm glad you are ok and look forward to seeing that trike soon.
