Got a job offer in Lampasas. Going to consider it. Don't know a thing about the town. Anyone know the area?

It's closer to the Hill Country.

Yup. Closer to the hill country and lot's of deer. The job would be working on a game ranch on the Colorado river just north of Colorado Bend State Park. Rode down last weekend to see it. 700+ acres of rock, cactus, snakes, coyote and scorpions. Even got to meet as few of them. What else could you ask for?...
Took 580 from San Saba to Lampasas. Excellent ride!!!

I grew up out there, I loved it... We were just out there, 580 was part of our poker run last weekend, love that road... July 9th to the 15th is the Spring Ho in Lampasas, that would be a great time to see the town, I used to go every year... Which ranch is it out there?

I don't know the name of the ranch. I don't even know if it has a name as of yet. I only know that it's a private ranch for the owner and his guests. He's just getting it started, and I was invited down by an old friend trying to talk me into moving down there and working with him.
I still have to go down again and meet with people to finalize whether I'm going to take the job. Maybe I'll make it for Spring Ho. It sounds like fun.

Hell keep me posted, It's also as close to Lampasas as it is to Malone. (Almost)
