Would greatly appreciate any feedback.

Well, a quick call to them to try to get a ballpark price on chroming a C fender indicated that they had very reasonable prices.  REASONABLY speaking, I'm more interested in quality over price.  I'd rather spend 400 on chrome that will last 10 years than 200 on chrome that will last 5 years.

But I'd rather spend 200 on chrome that will last 5 years than 400 on chrome that will last 6 years.  LOL

Well...  I brought in a fender and a sissy bar to get chromed on 5/5.  They said 2-3 weeks.  SUPPOSEDLY the sissy is done but they've had "trouble" with the fender.  Well I think the trouble is they keep it on the bench and don't work on it.  I'd call on a Tuesday and they'd say Saturday.  I'd call Saturday and they'd say "next tuesday."  So a month and half after they said 2-3 weeks, well see what the dealio is when I call them tomorrow.

There is a company called Dura-Chrome that chromes parts for the place i used to work...  These guys are excellent, the chrome was used on air hammers used for drilling.  The specs were within a few thousandths of an inch, and held up pretty well considering the heat and beating these parts were taking...  I don't know about pricing, but i do see that they have done motorcycle parts, you just have to ship the stuff up north to get it done...

I know I saw this thread too late, but thought I'd throw that out there anyway...

No worries at all... I don't think I'd ship stuff to Canada to get it chromed, but more info is never bad, and you never know who'll find this thread searching later, ya know?

I called today, they're still not happy with it and the chrome guy doesn't work Mondays (Tuesday-Saturday) so hopefully he'll finish it tomorrow.  They say they're close.  If it's gorgeous, I'll be cool with the delays.  I don't mind people being anal about what they're doing for me especially when I pay by the job, not by the hour.

Well, I got the rear fender and the sissy bar back from Dirty Joes.  they did a really top notch job, even if they did take a whole lot longer than they should have.

The front business has gone under, so it's just Dirty Joe's over there now.  But they said they're not going anywhere.  I was very incredibly pleased with the job they did on the fender, seriously, high quality.  I won't take anything that I need TOMORROW to them..  LOL  But I'll gladly take them job when I don't have a specific deadline.

Now to find the time and inclination to do the work.  Anyone like to do side mount plates, and wiring?  I'll buy the steaks and beer....  :D
