Brake Bleeder Tool
«

I am going to change out my brake fluid and I need a good bleeder tool. I saw one profiled in one of my bike mags that pumped the fluid out and I can't recall what the name of it was. Any suggestions for which one to buy will be appreciated.

I got mine at Advance Auto parts in New Braunfels but Any Auto part store sells them for about $30.00
I use the mighty-vac all plastic with a gauge it works great.
Also I have a had good luck with the Valvoline SYN fully synthetic dot 4 break fluid , its clear and you can tell when it needs replacing when starts to turn brown .Besure to check out bears page so you bleed them the correct order.

Thanks Jay. His tips on bleeding are for the 1800, how different is the 1300.

I do not know anything about the 1300 !
As long as you have two sets of disc brakes on the front it ( duel rotors) should be the same .

Probably is, I looked at the service manual on my HCRA and it doesn't tell you much.
Thanks for the info.

The hydraulics bleed the same on either bike. You have one less front brake on the 1300, and the brakes are not linked. In addition, you don't have a hydraulic clutch.
