Hey Hangman where in Rowlett do you live? I live in Rowlett off Dal-Rock. You shouldn't be trusting a backwoods East Texas boy to help with your bike!

I'm just off Dalrock myself - I live in the 2 story with all the great looking trees and no grass - gotta fine crop or weeds though.  What do you ride?  I have an orange '03 retro.  I've seen a couple of others in the neighborhood.  Spoke with one long time neighbor a few weeks ago that had just gotten their X about 6 months prior.
There is also a silver C in my neighborhoold. . .  Either ring any bells?

To Robdogg - Thanks for the heads up - it wasn't so obvious before I started working on these things.  For some reason I can read all the instructions and miss out on the important part.  I'll have to pick up two more bleeders for the front upper and clutch, but for now I ain't fixen what aint broke.

Working this out I think I may have it but it's going to take a sunny day and some testing to convince the wife.

Hey Fang is my secret weapon.  She's on you before you know it and your ankle is all hers. . . :D

Hey Chad - did you check out the link Bare sent with the powered bleed pump?  I'm going to try to bleed the rear system tonight and see if I can get it firmed.  If so Lisa's letting me use the money Honda would have gotten and I'm going to try to whip one of those babies together.  I'll let you know how it works out.

I found a vacuum pump at Harbor Freight on sale for $9.99 reg 16.99.

Better tell every one to stand back - If I pull this off successfully I'll be ready to find a junker somewhere for a hobby rebuild.

I just need to find one for the $30 rat hole money I'll have left.   ;D

This is the more than I've posted in the last 3 years combined.  Told you I was making a bid at that overlord title.  I figure another 7 1/2 years barring any misc hacking I'm there.

I'll get this back on the general board where it belongs.

Hopefully y'all will get all of this worked out. If not, I'll be in Mineral Wells (not sure exactly how far away that is) and I'll be glad to help. I came home for the weekend (got home at 11:45 last night), but I'm heading back up Sunday afternoon; should be there around 5 or 6. I don't have internet access up there. If you want to drag it to Mineral Wells I'll be glad to do what I can to help. I'll have my city cellular phone with me: 281/389-2921. I have a ton of stuff in the truck, so I won't be hauling any tools with me, but it sounds like you've got everything you need to do the job. Every now and then hydraulic system bleeding can get aggravating; that vacuum pump really helps. You can also get pressure pumps that inject the fluid from the bleeder and push it in from the low point to the high point; you want to purge all of the old fluid first. Let me know if I can help.

Doing a three-week school. We're staying in a barracks at Ft.Wolters; six males and two females. Scheduling latrine/shower times can get complicated.

I appreciate the offer, but with my wifes subburban pulling a trailer by the time I paid for the gas, it's cheaper to let the Honda shop do it.  I'm on the other side of the Dallas complex from Mineral Wells.
To be honest - I think I may have it licked any way.

What do the females you're shareing the shower look like?  If there are scheduling problems maybe you should offer to combine your time and team up    : ;)
