« on: October 14, 2007, 06:41:36 PM »

I just got back from a very long ride. I think the heavy duty clutch springs i put on my bike gave out. It has been slipling real bad. So my question is has anyone changed out there cluch to one they really like one with a lot of holding power?
Thanks

damn trent, you already toasted the clutch! i would think it would be covered under warranty, assuming it was not "driver fault". O0 i've got almost 23K on my stock clutch with no problems and thats 2-up 50% of the time. I by no means race the bike but i also don't baby it either. i believe the MTC clutch is the clutch of choice on the national board. if your looking for more holding power the kewl metal 10 disc clutch would be the way to go, however this clutch is more suited for your racing applications. good luck.

I've got 57 K on my stock clutch, and I'm hell on it, all the time. Only time it slipped was after putting in synthetic oil....I got that back out after a k and a half or so. The slippage took about two more weeks to quit after I took it out. I'll never use synthetic in a bike again, LOL.
