Today I put some HK sideburners on my 1300s. How will I know if I need to do anything to the carb? Besides being a lot louder it seems like the throttle response is improved.

you might get a rejet if you changed your airbox, otherwise, the motor is not really gonna flow more than it's sucking in. It may be a tad leaner, but not enough to do any more damage than the lean-from-the-factory settings. Find MRVTX, who can find Girth, who's brother (or cousin, or friend, or something) bought my sideburners and needles from me. I think I ended up  with the same 195 main and a different needle up a clip or something. I had a hypercharger, which doesn't really flow any more air, but looks cooler than stock. if you drill some holes in your airbox cover and put a K&N filter in there, you'll get more air and will then definitely need to adjust the mixture.
