You'll probably find most people are going to recommend Frogg Toggs.  I don't have them, but have heard they are the best.  Just keep whatever you get away from your  pipes.

Ditto on the Frogg Toggs. You can get them at Academy. They are very lightweight, breathable, and extremely waterproof. They run about $70 for a set. The downside, as mentioned above, is that they are very susceptible to heat. Don't let them touch your pipes, and you will stay dry.

ditto on the frogg toggs. the most common solution for the hot pipe problem is to sew a piece of denim material on the area near the pipes. another suggestion i've heard of is to sew on a piece of that ironing board cover material. good luck and ride safe.

I have a 1 pc Tourmaster rain suit. I've used it twice, and both times it took me forever to get dressed on the side of the road. It works great, and would be the best suit, if....you woke up in the morning, and it was raining, and you HAD to put it on for the day.

I bought the Frogg Toggs for the R.A.T. Ride, but never had to use them. I've ridden with people that use them, and while I'm struggling to get my suit on, they're ready and waiting on me. That's why I went ahead and bought them, for the ease of on, and off.  From what I've seen, Academy has the best price.

Amy & I use the Tourmaster 2-piece (jacket & pants).  She wears the jacket & pants, I only wear the jacket.  I don't mind my legs getting wet, as long as my upper body is dry & warm.  The gear works great, but it does take her a minute to slide the pants over her jeans.

I've got a Dri-Rider one piece suite.  It's not the easiest to get into but it great after that. Doesn't melt on the pipes, doesn't flap, and I've ridden for 2 days straight in a down pour and water never penetrated anywhere.  It also folds into inself and becomes a fanny pack that you can wear. Pretty handy if you're packed heavy or don't have a rack/bag of some kind.

aerostich..... you'll never use anything else, cuz you'll never need anything else.... or be able to afford anything else.

I sold mine and still have my frogg toggs. I only really use them for keeping warm, though. they do work well in the rain.

A one-piece suit is the only way to stay completely dry on a bike or in a bass boat, but they are a hassle to get on and off, and forget about getting to your wallet wearing one. In the summer, the Frogg Toggs are the best buy out there. In the winter, a good GoreTex (or one of the newer, similar fabrics) suit really shines.
