Ride in Hill Country Adventure
« on: April 23, 2006, 07:30:16 PM »

Just got back from down at Bandera over the weekend with a group of 19 people and 16 motorcyces. WHAT A BLAST!!  Did the 3 twisted sisters and did Willow road. Had a super time!! Anyone going down for the BB III will have the ride of there life I can say. The countryside is in full swing with life. Had some rain when we left Friday morning but all went away by 8am and the rest you can say was unforgetable. Road over 2,000 miles in 3 days and when I told the wife that she said: Hey that's great if it makes you happy :) Only thing it did make feel bad my my REAR!! :o But well worth it!! Hopefully will be back next moth for some more adventure!  Chad (aka: MrChadly) << No more  lol I like this nic better

Was in Vanderpool last month, and will be staying in Fredricksburg on the weekend of 5/20/06, is the best riding in texas and will be heading back to do the three's once again. Also if you have not found Cain City Road, it goes from near 290 to 423 I think, and it is a must for motorcycles. If you have a sport bike you can go airborne. Anyone in the area give me a call if you want to hook up there will be six or eight of us there, my cell is 713-291-5921.

Thanks,

David

ELI!!! where you bean, man! ;D

you know what...it's gonna be a while before I don't crack up out loud when I see that stupid icon!

seeing this >>>  ;D ;D ;D

big toothy grin, just cracks me the f$%2 up.

Anyway, I've been working working working...  like a squirrel hoarding nutz for winter, I've just been working, pay'n the bills and putting the rest away.  Getting some time on the treadmill.

I'll be going down for BBT (I need to register  :-[ )  And I'd like to string some weekends together in San Antonio, in May/June/July.

I think I'm going to take the X down and leave her there, that way I can just cage it from Dallas to San Antonio and back, and not be totally beat. I'll get to ride around SA and the hill country on the X, but use the cage to get from city to city.  I've got another bike for DFW anyway.

I'm looking for some sort of used shed to put on my parents property, to store the X.  We'll see.

I'll be around for mother's day, anyone riding?

I was with Chad on this one - not sure how to get to the Willow City Loop - but it's worth it - kind of a slow ride but really pretty scenery and twists.

After talking to Mr Chad - I'm wanting to do the Guadalupe River ride again - sounds like I missed some things.

The Willow City Loop is off of HWY 16 between Fredericksburg and Llano...

Enchanted Rock is off of another hwy that runs parallel to 16 . I think that it is state hwy 935 or something like that... the loop starts out on one end as a state hwy then turns into a county road at willow city until it loops back around to Hwy 16 again.
