the PGR has been invited to ride in the veterans day parade in austin this saturday am. i'm planning on attending the ride and would like to invite anyone else who thinks they might want to ride to come on down. the meet up point is at the austin american statesman bldg parking lot at 7-7:30 am. the parade starts at 9am but the parade planners want all motorized vehicles staged early. the AAS bldg. is located just north of riverside dr. on congress ave. just before the bridge. y'all let me know, maybe we can get a group to ride down together. weather looks to be nice. see ya and ride safe.

  I plan on riding from 290E to I35 S to Oltorf to Congress and arriving from the southern direction, avoiding traffic and possible lane closures on Congress north of the river....probably leave here about 0700hrs.  Might have two other bikes with me.

One of the posts on the Patriot Guard page referred to assembling at the church at 10:30 for the 11:30 service.  There will be people directing the parking and they know we are coming.  They will direct us to the designated area.  After the service, travel to Ft Sam for his final resting place.

For anyone interested in joining us,

TxSlider, Backseatbeauty and Myself  (all San Antonio residents) will be meeting at the Lubys on Hwy 281 at 0900hrs. The Lubys is on the east side (northbound) of Hwy 281 approx 1/4 mile south of Bitters Rd.  It is only about 3 miles from there to the Eagle's Nest church. We will depart Lubys at 1000hrs and be at the Church by 1015hrs.

If you are heading north on Hwy281 exit at Bitters rd and continue north on the access rd, you will see Lubys on your right before you get to Bitters rd.

If you are traveling south on Hwy 281 exit at Bitters rd and go to the light. Turn left on Bitters (going east) and go back under Hwy 281.  Turn right into the Office Depot parking lot and you will see Lubys at the south end of the parking lot in front of you.   

The Lubys has an Excellent weekend breakfast buffet. The cost 7.99 and includes your drink. We are Meeting early enough to enjoy a hearty breakfast and still have plenty of time to get over to the church on time. We welcome everyone to join us.

made it home from the parade and lunch at hills cafe. had a great time, thanks to wayne, kyle, trent, brandy, and billy for coming out. the parade was a blast, short, but a blast all the same. got to meet a couple from kileen on a 1300. hope you guys can get registered on the board and stay in touch. met up with bigdogsgal for lunch and then on to woods for some shopping! see ya and ride safe.

   Yep good turn out, Tim Carrington did good, quite a few VTX bikes there, but I don't think the Capitol building with ever be the same to me......Thank goodness the plumbing was working for Couldbefaster!
