Texas Lane Splitting
« on: January 10, 2017, 02:10:38 PM »

there is a proposal for a new law allowing lane splitting in Texas.

TX SB288 | 2017-2018 | 85th Legislature
The basics of the new law would be.
1. limited access roads (freeways)
2. traffic is moving less then 20mph.
3. no more than 5mph faster than surrounding traffic. (see #2)

I don't ride in traffic enough for this to matter.  Wouldn't be a good idea to be squeezing in between cars with my big arse bike anyway.
