1800N Double Eagle Exhaust
« on: March 06, 2014, 07:16:13 AM »

I had my original exhaust modified by VTXEXHAUST.COM, kind of regretting it now as getting it quieted down without effecting the exhaust tone has proven to be a challenge.  I'm looking at alternatives and listening to sound clips but have not yet found one for the HK Double Eagle (SLT) system.  If anyone has a quality sound clip of this exhaust on an 1800 I would appreciate the link. I realize that nothing so far has been invented that gives the 1800 the low rumble we all wish it had but but I keep searching.

Hey Steve, you know back when I had my 1800N, I also had VTXexhaust.com modify my exhaust and while I like the loudness of it I did always feel it was bit too blapy and not that rumbly.  I don't have any suggestions on what you could do, but I did end up selling it and got something else that has the rumble.

Anyways, I do recall a member on here having the double eagle on his 1300 and it sounded real good, but that motor is a whole other beast and the sound is way different.  When I heard his I set out to find this exhaust for my 1800 only to find or rather I came to the conclusion that they didn't manufacture that exhaust for the 1800.  These days whatever is out there is very limited new or someone taking off and selling.

I'm sure this didn't help you much but good luck with your search or an alternative.
