Ranger and Abilene
« on: September 18, 2013, 10:01:42 PM »

Haven't been on here in a long while.

After reading the latest "Ride Texas" magazine, I thought I would give one of the rides a shot.  So I'm headed out Saturday morning to Ranger.  They happen to have some festival this day also.  We'll see how that goes.

After that, I'll head to Abilene to spend the night and to see the 12th Armored Division Museum and Fort Phantom Hill.

Then back to the metroplex.

Weather should be all cleared out by then.  Have fun.  Where in the Metroplex?  We will do a M&G in the DFW area soon.

And he's off... well, maybe not.

I left this morning and decided to stop at Walmart to pick up a couple of items.  When I came out, I couldn't start the bike.  I put in a new battery, and the bike started.

There seems to be more load than the battery... not sure.  The last work I did on the bike was to add an LED tail-light and a strobe module, so perhaps there is a short there somewhere.

At least it happened a few blocks from home instead of 200+ miles away.
