A few come to mind -

Newman's Bakery in Bellville - yep a good stop - I'm usually ready for a coffee
In Alvin - Joe's BBQ does a good breakfast buffet - in the hall next to the bbq restaurant
In Rosenberg - Bob's Taco Stand - good fresh food with local flavor

Thanks again guys for all the suggestions.  Now I have my next couple weekends mapped out  :bikerider:.  We ended up going down to Bob's Tacos this morning and it was good, plus nice and cool this morning (for Houston).  Hoping to get a backrest/sissy bar soon so it's easier on my riders back.  Then we can hit the places further away!

Just saw this post, and see that someone beat me to it.  I was going to suggest Newman's Bakery in Bellville. It's a nice short ride from Katy, mayube an hour. Excellent food.

I just looked up Newmans Bakery.  Is it the same thing as Newmans Castle and Bakery?  If so, it says that it's by reservation only, is this just the castle part or the bakery as well?  I'm just making sure that this is the same thing.

They are two different places owned by the same person. The castle is by reservation only, not the bakery. The bakery is excellent.
