Dark side tire for a 1300
« on: June 08, 2012, 04:03:50 PM »

I have a 2004 1300 C model that I am wanting to get a CT for.
What fits this bike and who has done this? Any regrets?

I'm curious to know as well.  It's hard for me to wrap my head around putting a CT on my bike.

Your bike is like your a**, you can wipe it as much as you want, but if you want it clean you gotta use soap and water!!!

Some people really like it. I did not like it. Best of luck to you.

I've done it twice now on an 1800, and love it...  I thought there was a list of tires that are confirmed fits for the 1300 on that site, but I couldn't find it.  Seems like I remember a thread there where they put a Douglas (available at Wal-Mart) 205 on a 1300 and it fit.  That was the only 205 that seemed to fit the 1300, so the widest you could go.

If you  do it, post some pics up so we can see!

It was a z rated tire. It was a good tire but It's been awhile. I will tell you one thing when I knew I was going back to a Motorcycle tire it did one HELL of a burnout. Tons of smoke got it to 3rd gear. lol

I put on a 205-70/15 yesterday and it fit great. Did not notice any issues with getting it into the corners at all like I was expecting. Will be doing more ridding today to get a better idea.
I will try to post some pics when I figure out how to do that lol. I am not the most tech savy one on here.
Thanks for the site it was a great help and for all the other help as well.
