Tech Session in DFW/Allen Area
« on: October 15, 2011, 04:56:26 PM »

Looking through the VTX boards it looks like I missed a few good sessions while I was traveling this Summer.  Now that I have some time to spend on the X, I was wondering if anyone has any tech sessions in the DFW/Allen area?  I have some specific projects in mind, but would be happy with just about any topic since I need to learn more about the VTX.

I might be interested in driving up for this, and that includes valves since I have never done them on mine, not sure when it was last done, and in the past year I have put 17k miles on the bike.  The only weekend I know I have taken up on my calendar right now is Nov 19.

Thanks for offering up your place for the work Chad.

I'm an X rider from lewisville, I would love a tech session to do learn how to do my valves... what would I need to bring? and how long would my bike need to sit to be considered "cold"? Would be up to an hour ride if the session is in allen.

Chad lives in Miller Grove, out past Greenville.  You could make the run in an hour, and let the bike sit while we do other things.  I need to do a couple of coolant swaps and flushes, and they need to be cool too, and low on fuel so I can pull the tanks.

Hmmmmm...not needing a tech session, but that catfish idea sounds like it's worth a ride  :lunch:
