Rode MY bike to work today!!
« on: April 12, 2010, 07:39:50 AM »

Although she still has some issues. Connie and I installed the new clutch cover and V&H Big Shots. Replaced the clutch and front brake levers. Replacing the rear brake pedal showed us another problem. The brake pivot bolt was bent so I stole Andrew's.  ::) Put it all back together and rode her to the end of the street and back to check her out. Hmm, rear light seems awfully bright and the brake light isn't working. Fuse was OK, and front switch is working. Finally, figured out the rear brake switch is on but couldn't imagine why. Had to adjust the switch to get it to turn off. (A three handed operation)

Anyway, Issues still to be resolved. Tank and fender are at the painter so I'm riding with no fender and dented tank. This morning, I found out the headlight mounting bracket is bent UP!! I can hunt squirrels in trees.  And I had to put the lollipops back on for turn signals while my Nudie Bar is back in the shop.  :banghead: And waiting on forward controls to come in still. Riding with one foot forward is interesting but doable.

Painter thinks the tank and front fender should be ready for BBT. But if not, I'll have a strange fender on her. See ya'll at BBT.  :bikerider:

Now if I can just dodge the jaywalkers between Houston and Fredericksburg.  :boxing:

I don't care what other people think. They don't do it very often!
Of Course it's dirty. It's hard to clean when the tires keep moving.

Wayne,

Glad to hear you're making progress.  Looking forward to seeing you back on the bike again.

Not quite as far along as the bike. I've still got some body work issues. Can still feel the bruise if I move wrong.
