Help with Kuryakyn Switchblades
« on: August 25, 2006, 03:42:25 PM »

I mounted the Kury Switchblade pegs onto the floorboards using the Kury Cruise Peg Mount.  My problem is I cannot figure how to "angle" the pegs to better sit under my feet.  Right now they are at a 90 degree angle to the motorcycle.  I can add another adapter but that would only move the pegs further outboard than now.  Anyone out there using the switchblades?  How did you work around this on the peg mounts?

I can't help you with the Switchblade product, but I "killed two birds" by installing the Kury Ergo bars:

I like the looks, safety and functionality of these...

Lennie, those do look great.  I've thought about ditching the Cobra Fatty and putting the Ergo's on.  They have a simple, clean look to them.  Meanwhile, anyone else have any ideas?  I've thought about limiting the "down" travel of the peg flip down by adding something in the clevis.  Properly aligned, the not full drop would align them a little back toward the rider.

I have the switchblades for my regular pegs. I'll have to visually see what you're trying to do. Are you using them for highway pegs?

RD, yes, I have mounted them as highway pegs but they need to angle in some.  There are many differnet adjustments on them but no combination seems to work.  If you are at the M & G at Specht's Store would you take a look?  Thanks, dan
