The city of Sugar Land has choosen my 1942 Chevy truck to bring Mr and Mrs Santa in to Sugar Land for the tree lighting.

Sugar Land Town Square
Always a magical evening drawing thousands, our 7th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event will have holiday themed activities for the whole family, including Santa’s grand entrance into Sugar Land Town Square. Mayor James Thompson will be on hand as part of the celebration, as will local businesses and retailers who will be participating in activity & food booths. Holiday performances and entertainers will highlight the evening as the audience awaits the lighting of the City’s
40-foot tree for the 7th year in a row.
Main Stage Performances & Entertainment
In continuing with the City’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, we will also be recognizing the Fort Bend ISD who is also celebrating their 50th Anniversary. Main stage performances will include schools such as: Commonwealth Elementary, Kempner High, Stephen F. Austin High and Fort Bend Baptist Academy.
Additionally there will be performances by: Sugar Land Super Star Winner Nathaniel De Jesus, Sugar Land Express Singers and various local groups.
Other entertainment enhancing the evening will include stilt walkers and festive walk around characters such as snowmen and juggling elves.
Activity & Refreshment Booths
Local retailers will offer children’s activities, which include face painting, free holiday photos with Santa, make-up sessions for young girls, bean bag tosses and much more. There will also be a booth selling commemorative 50th anniversary t-shirts. A variety of restaurants and organizations will also be providing delicious refreshments throughout the evening.
Parking
A free shuttle service will run from Mercer Stadium (16403 Lexington Blvd.) to the Town Square from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Parking will also be available in the Texas and Lone Star garages located in Town Square.
