Just get a her a good tune up and keep riding. Unless the frame cracked, what can go wrong that can't be fixed? I know a good gunsmith if you want to have it looked at.

Are you looking for new or used on the Springfield?

Abso-freaking-lutely. We have a few on order actually. Do you want the Mil Spec, Match, TLM, Operator, EMP ? Just let me know what you are looking for and I will get you the "Put Your Cranberries On The Line Everyday So The Public Is Safe" discount we offer to law enforcement and military. :thumbup:

If I had to give up the 1911 the XD would be my choice. I can rebuild my Colt myself; that's not the problem. I need to get a Springfield or S&W 1911, and nobody has any in stock other than the base MilSpec models.

I can get GREAT prices from GT Distributors. The problem is, I have to wait several months to get a gun; they have only demos in stock and they won't sell them.

I have looked all over Austin and Houston for my duty ammo (230 grain HydraShoks). None to be had. I have looked all over for a quality 1911; all that's available are milspec guns. So why is it that The Messiah and all of his loyal sheep keep preaching that trainloads of easily purchased arms and ammunition from Texas are making their way daily to Mexico?

Well, a friend found the gun I was looking for in Louisiana, and it was only $50 more than GT Distributors gets. So last night I picked up my brand new S&W 1911DK. I'm going to try to shoot it Sunday so I can confirm reliability and set the sights, then I can return the custom Springfield Tucker lent me to carry. Later on I'll fix up the Colt and it'll be my backup gun. I just had the slide, sights, hammer, and trigger Cerakoted, and the barrel recrowned, then it laid down on me. Oh well...............
