Honda's "cub", commonly referred to as the Honda 50 back in the 1960's... Hit a record sales mark.

I ressurected this one for my daughter to use for school. Haven't given it to her yet. Dad has to thouroughly test ride it you know. It's a blast around the neighborhood. It's an '81 with 1900 miles. It's so quiet the dogs don't even bark.

This pic is about 3 weeks old. Now it also has the front basket powder coated by the Pepsx. Thanks again Dan.

Looking at the backrest, it needs to be painted burnt orange. Too bad it won't be maroon and white. Gig Em Aggies!!

I showed up at a campsite where 4 of my biker co-workers were staying. We were going on a morning ride to get breakfast. Two of the guys that were supposed to ride waved me on and said "We can't make this one". My boss started his bike and looked at me and said "A lot of people 'own' motorcycles".

ThinMan ... that little bike is just cherry!!!

My first bike in 1964 was a Honda 50, red.. paid $75 for it.  It was pretty trashed but I cleaned her up, changed the oil and put a new rear tire on it... and rode it for three years.  One of the most fun, reliable and energetic bikes I've ever owned.

Ahh. You spied my Longhorn, Philanderer. Good eyes. As for the beloved Aggies, I don't think they've Gigged anything lately.

By the way, great avatar.

Thanks Lennie. School starts soon and I'm going to have to give it up.  May just have to find another one. It is a different world of cycling.  I put a new Michelin tire and tube on the front. I think it was a whopping $24. At the Honda dealer no less.
