Simple plan, Eh!!!

My oldest son needed my help moving things he inherited, when his grand mother,then his mother, died earlier this year. I have a truck and trailer and a house that needed some work on the way. So the  two little kids and I take the truck and trailer to Hedley and start doing chores. Ben arrives with his step sister and a friend and (Shermin) her dog. They take the truck and trailer on to Memphis to load it. The house In Memphis had been vacant for some time and squirrels had got in and made a mess. Ben's uncle had put out poison for the squirrels. About the time the trailer was loaded here comes Sherman munching on a large piece of rat poison. They then spend a while purging Shermin's stomach with hydrogen peroxide. Meanwhile back in Hedley I'm push mowing the grass, drinking beer, as needed, and getting my Cranberries chewed by my wife over the phone for leaving our 4 month old German shepard  in her box at home.
Ben and crew show up, drop the truck, and haul it to Amarillo to take Sherman to the vet. I have them go by the house to take my pup out of the box for a poop break. While I finish chores, as I wait for the beer to wear off before driving home with a over loaded trailer and two kids.
Sherman is fine now, Ben didn't get half of what he wanted, and I left a bucket full of tools setting out at Hedley.
I'm thinking about riding the bike down to get the tools, and arranging for the kids to stay in Amarillo. Eh, guess I'll call Ben, and see if another simple plan is in the works.

Sounds like a simple plan ::) Doesn't ever seem to turn out that way though.
I got a plan, its hot why don't you cut my grass ??? :t

There has to be time for the wife, kids, dogs and chores. We need more time on the bike (not going to happen) as long as there is sunshine and honey doo's.  :-\

Everyone was busy today, I loaded the kids and went and got the tools in the truck. The I am the daddy, I have learned long ago, how important I am when my help is needed, and how unimportant I am when I need help.
