1800 Frame Diameter

Took my engine guard off. I had my hi-way pegs mounted to it. After a short ride, I want my hi-way pegs back.
I'm going to have to mount them to the frame. Can anyone confirm that the frame is 1 1/2" OD?  :notworthy:

If you don't get confirmation by tonight call me and remind me to go out and check. I get off at 4, but I've been working late nearly every day lately, so just try me about 5. I THINK it's 1 1/4", but I'm not sure. I know I had to order a set of clamps when I mounted my horn to the frame. I should have the other one in the toolbox if you want it.

Called your cell, and your daughter answered......she didn't know the diameter either. J/K
I was being lazy this morning. Just went out and measured the circumfrance which was right at 5".

Then googled the formula because there has been too many years gone buy since I needed that.

"Since the circumference is Pi times the diameter then divide the circumference by Pi (3.14159) to get the diameter."

The frame is 1 1/2" in diameter or 1.5923566 inches.

Well, you'll be delighted to know that I just ran out to the garage in my underwear with my dial caliper to get you a measurement. As soon as I got into the garage the bottom fell out; it started pouring. I got soaked running back in; I damned near melted!







Oh yeah...................it was an inch and a half.

Is this normal, running around in your underwear with dial calipers in your hand and getting all wet? Somehow this just has the "sounds wrong" feel to it. :cantbelieve:

Why, the frame, of course. I'm not THAT well endowed. Randy's probably a whole lot closer to an inch and a half than I am :congrats:.
