Trailer Park Boys
« on: February 11, 2009, 06:04:42 PM »

If you have DirecTV, check out the Trailer Park Boys on the 101. It's a Canadian show, and is freakin' hilarious. They tried showing it here in the states a few years ago, but the bleeps were so frequent, it was hard to understand what was being said. I have all the DVDs, and pull them out once in awhile to laugh my pasty white azz off...  :D ;)

Here's a couple of samples, (not safe for work, or virgin ears)....

wtf?

 ;D

So here goes... Mr. Leahy, Manager of the Sunnyvale Trailer Park, (or at least until his ex-wife, Barb, owner of said trailer park, fired him), drinks a lot. A LOT! In that scene, he is babbling nonsense to Randy, Assistant Manager of the park, and also a guy that never wears a shirt. Never. In fact, in the episode where Alex Lifeson, from Rush, was kidnapped by the boys and was able to gain his freedom by giving backstage passes to their local concert, Randy refused the band's offer of a free concert T-shirt, because he wouldn't put it on.

Let me know if you have any other TPB questions. Here is a pic of me and the wifie with the boys at the US premiere of The TPB Movie here in Austin 2 years ago at SXSW Film. I am the only American in the pic:

Those glasses really bring out your eyes...  j/k  O0

Have you ever watched "The Mighty Boosh"  it's different comedy too, just not so much bleeping...

Probably the best is The Legend of Old Greg

One of the perks of living in Canada! Network Television does not cut any nudity nor any language except to bleep out F**k and GD.

First time I realized this was watching Howard Stern's movie during the scene where the naked chick gets off by sitting on the stereo speakers with Stern humming!! Memorable scene!

Viva La Liberal Canada!

Well, if they bleeped that first one, it would cut about 1/3 of the TPB dialog out!  :D
