Crush Gaskets
« on: January 29, 2009, 03:26:06 PM »

We are going to be installing some baffles in my son's 1800C V&H pipes this weekend.  I have heard that you can get a cheaper version of crush gaskets at Auto Zone then buying ones from the stealers.  Does anyone have size/part number for these so I can drop by and get some tomorrow?

There's a list somewhere on VTXOA if you want to do a search.

Yeah, I did a search on VTXOA earlier, and the results I got never gave me specifics...just a lot of "go to Auto Zone (or NAPA) to get them"...saw the name Felpro Gaskets a few times and when I called Auto Zone about the Felpro gaskets the guy got all freaky on me when I wouldn't give them a make or model of my car. He insisted I call the motorcycle shop for gaskets.

I just drilled a hole in the chrome covers so I can remove my baffles without removing the entire exhaust. It works great!
