seat bolts?
« on: July 19, 2006, 02:59:21 PM »

anyone happen to have an extra seat bolt laying around?

right after getting the bike, i noticed that the vibrations from riding caused one side of the seat bolt to really torque down, and the other side to kinda loosen up a bit.  so after riding i would always re-adjust them.  well, that worked as long as i was just making short 1-2 hour rides.  after riding around lake sam rayburn and through toledo bend and around louisiana for 12 hours last week, guess which one fell out.....  :-\

I had the same problem and finally went ahead to do the seat modification and am now just using those quick release pins.  Makes it super easy to get under the seat or change out from one seat to another.

I have an extra stock bolt if you want it.  Free if you want to come get it.
I replaced mine with SS allen head cap screws from Ace Hardware.  If I have anymore problems I will go with the quick release pins.

If you want the bolt give me a call

Do the seat modification.  Drill those holes out, use the quick release pins and you'll never look back.  Worth it for sure.
