, 2003 1800VTX c changed the amber to blue. Just take your time with the metal forming back on. Here's the tricky part, in which I was not successful... putting the needle back upon the spindle, I unfortunately broke the spindle while doing this. I still can not figure how in the heck you do that?
Yea after all the time invested in ordering the right leds, taken things apart, soldering, I go and break the needle on the darn thing

". Haven't use this excuse yet, but it pretty funny when people look over the bike and then I would ask them what ya think? and they would say it looks pretty good. So what do you think of the speedo? anything wrong with that? 99% of the people dont realize the needle is not there!
And then when they do, they say where did the needle go? Here is where story of my imagination comes into play... if it is a good lookin girl, I would use a magic trick on here and ask here to pull her pants down and thus find it, some actually do!
, But then I would shown them well it was there... mmm then pull my down and say there it is! that red pointing needle thingy... HA HA.
Anyways currently seein' stock speedos for $135 new and $65 used (sometimes). But neither will have my odometer miles, so...mmm however, those dakota's looking very nice...mmm. $250+ they are already blue background.
Even though I did F this up, the odometer still works..
Another option you may want to see is to get those speedometer background inserts. Instead of changing the leds, the amber leds show through the background inserts u put between the needle and the mph background and thus it changes the amber color to blue, green, or whatever you want. I forget what these things are called, but talk to a shop or two...
